Before you loose faith in humanity, consider this follow up to the previous story on the woman who sued because a neighbor gave her cookies.

Radio station KOA-AM of Denver raised more than $1,900 from listeners Friday to pay the girls’ $930.78 fine. The rest of the money will go to a charity dedicated to victims of the Columbine High School massacre.

Excellent. People are good at heart, and recognize a horrendous person, and horrendous story when they hear it. If people are generally good, why does our legal system keep rewarding coldhearted bastards like Wanita Young? What happened to democracy and a rational application of the law?

As good people are oft to do, they righted wrongs on their own and filled the void left by a crappy legal system. Poetic justice for the one who filed this ridiculous and cruel lawsuit:

Wanita Young said, “This has turned into quite a fiasco. It’s something that never should have happened and it’s just devastating. My phone hasn’t stopped ringing. My life has been threatened and I’ll probably have to move out of town.”

Get your letters in before she moves.
